We have had a very busy past week with the getting the upstairs and deck of our house (Tulip Center) ready to move into followed by moving all of our stuff into the upstairs. Because of construction we couldn’t paint or put a deck on until this past Tuesday.
We had over 50 people physically help us get the painting done, build a deck and couple sets of stairs, do random odds and ends needed to finish the upstairs, provide food, and finally to move all of our stuff!!
We did not want to be in the position with having to get so much done in such a short amount of time but God blessed us with so many people that helped us out!!! We feel amazingly blessed and supported by family and friends!!!
Our house will Lord willing be done by the end of July and we can move our bodies in then. Until then we have been blessed by a family in Storm Lake who has allowed us to stay at their place (with a newborn and 2 year old) until the house is complete.
We came to Omaha on Sunday and will be here for a week or more. Long story short is Natalie’s OB and is on vacation Storm Lake’s hospital does not allow v-backs. Her OB connected us with a great doctor in Omaha who is able to do v-backs. Our baby is due July 5 so the fun could begin at any time!!
It works to be in Omaha for this extended time as I have my CT and PET scans tomorrow morning.
If they are clear I will have two more chemo treatments, one on July 2 and the last one on July 25. If they are not clear we will discuss our options with the oncologist.
Please pray the scans are clear, and we can just finish up with the last two treatments.
A family who is connected to a former graduate of Natalie’s residency program has graciously allowed us to stay in their home while we are in Omaha. We feel blessed to be here and it has been very restful so far. I can’t work on the house and Natalie is done with work for a few months with maternity leave. Fun to just enjoy some quality family time!!
