This week something big happened.
Actually, it slipped in as a last-minute arrangement. The girls’ Bible study needed a location (again). And, Bob and Natalie had casually mentioned that day that they were ready to host things at Tulip Center.
So, that was that. Tulip Center officially became official – and kids came running.
Sure, the girls had to gingerly step around yet-to-be-unpacked boxes. The lights weren’t all hooked up quite yet. Bob and Natalie were juggling kids and seeding their lawn (maybe their lawn will actually grow? We’ll see!)
But, despite the challenges, the Bible study went on.
And, Natalie and I laughed in the kitchen, in the midst of the holy chaos – a determined laugh, because God had prevailed and ministry was going to happen at Tulip Center after all.
Cancer didn’t have the final word.
Neither did the myriad of crazy construction setbacks.
Neither did the multiple house moves while waiting for the Center to be ready.
After all, people, God is building His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
Bible study will continue meeting at Tulip Center on Tuesday evenings.
Kids will be loved there.
Neighbors will be welcomed.
The Gospel will be shared there through lives, through words, through actions.
And all of God’s people said: Amen.
